Our Lady of Grace Spiritual Center
This beautiful environment provides for the spiritual, educational and cultural growth of God's people.
Among our many retreats and programs, spiritual direction is available throughout the year.
There is also a lovely hermitage on our campus which is available for private retreat and days of prayer.

What people are saying...
From the moment I arrived for my retreat, I felt welcome, comfortable and blessed. During the retreat the scheduling of activities and personal time alone for reflection were in perfect balance. The setting at the retreat center is a mixture of both beauty and elegance. I felt as if I was "home." Feeling that much peace and tranquility made me not want to go home. The experience of the prayers and mealtimes together adds additional comfort and the quality of the food has always been impeccable. I recommend a retreat at OLG for anyone who is ready to pamper their soul and experience the true feeling of what it's like to be free of technological interruptions and everyday responsibilities. I felt like it was okay to let myself be open to just simply being who I am. My heart guided me all weekend. There was absolutely no pressure. I felt God's presence at OLG and I experienced a deep and accepting love and respect of myself during the time I spent there. I laughed and cried and felt truly renewed while driving home! I can't wait to go back for my third retreat.
MY PEACE PLACE
For many years, I have been in and out of Our Lady of Grace. Not only has it been conveniently located to my various places of ministry and living in Queens and Nassau, but it also has been a positive experience in many ways. I have attended prayer days, workshops and extended retreats. Always, the sisters and staff have been most welcoming. I’ve enjoyed the programs, the food, the environment and the grounds.
Over the course of the past year, or two, Our Lady of Grace gradually is becoming my special Peace Place. In an effort to make Sabbath time and quiet time more real parts of my life, I started to come alone to the chalet, a little cottage in the back of the property, every other month. Usually, I come for part of a weekend, or on a school holiday. My life is busy normally. Here it becomes still. I begin to more consciously notice the changes in the seasons as I go back and forth throughout the year. In May, for example, beautiful rhododendrons brushed against the windows of the chalet where huge icicles had dangled a few months earlier. Sometimes, a few robins and squirrels share the property with me, and the lovely chapel in the big house seems to be just for my use. Other times, I find myself invited to share in liturgy and meals with a retreat group that is on the premises.
Each visit is a little different than the one before. Our Lady of Grace simply gives me a place to rest, to be and to pray in my own way. Initially, I thought that I might find it difficult to be alone and quiet, but I have grown to cherish my time here. Often, when I leave, I would like to stay a little longer. Similar to the narrator in Frost’s Stopping by Woods,
I too have “promises to keep.” Hopefully, I can bring some of the peace with me with the knowledge that I can return to my Peace Place another day. Thank you. Judy Flanagan, OP
"When I got to the retreat house, I found a Santa Claus suit in the closet of the room I was staying in. By the time I left, I understood what the symbol of the Santa suit meant. Being able to spend time at Our Lady of Grace Retreat House is truly a gift ,and a soul cleansing experience. It is the perfect place to welcome Jesus into your heart. By the time you leave, you will have seen the face of Christ in those you came on retreat with".

"Our Lady of Grace Retreat Center is a charming, serene place where our small groups of women have spent several retreat weekends enjoying times of solitude and Scripture reading. Whether sitting in the chapel, walking on the lovely grounds, or sharing a meal together in the dining room, God’s presence can be felt. Sr. Maria Regina and the staff are always welcoming, and when we arrive we truly feel like we’ve come home. How blessed we are to have such a wonderful place so close to home."
